About Us

Our shepherd’s huts are situated next to the picturesque award winning Royal Oak pub. As a family we have run the pub for the last 18 years. During that time have built up an enviable reputation for the quality of our offering from locally produced cask ales quality wines and a lunchtime menu using as much locally sourced produce as possible. Winning many regional and national awards along the way. We also have the adjoining 55 acre mixed farm which we are currently modernising and when complete will increase our ability to offer even more produce from our own farm.

Having been in Fritham since 1993 both of our daughters have been brought up in the lovely and tranquil northern New Forest and now alongside their husbands work with us in our varied businesses. So we consider ourselves very lucky to be able to both live and work in such a great place, as a family. Through all of this we are supported in many ways by our business partner friend and supporter fellow villager Clive Bowring.
Having looked at many options for making use of the camping site we decided that what we wished for was a quiet site where we could allow people to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings and a high standard of comfortable accommodation.

Shepherds huts fitted all the requirements and so we embarked on a period of research before deciding that to build our own was the best way we could guarantee the build quality and high standards we knew we wanted.
